This site is constantly under construction.
The Nipissing Road is a 115km long colonization road, built from 1864 to 1875, to bring early settlers to northern Ontario. It runs from Rosseau on Lake Joseph to the village of Nipissing near the shores of Lake Nipissing. What remains is mostly a rural gravel road, with some derelict sections left to become ATV/Snowmobile/Hiking trails. For those who love the outdoors, there is much to be enjoyed along the route.
I continuously work (in fits and spurts) to populate this website with interesting information about points of interest along the Nipissing Road. The content on this page has been collected from many sources and re-written. Any concerns, corrections, contributions, photos, etc., can be emailed to email@example.com.
